My life's tech highlights

Age 18

Proxmox and board repair

Running my services on Proxmox VE, replacing failed capacitors on Xbox 360 boards, and still building PCs for friends.

Age 17

Switched to Linux for good

Made Linux my daily driver and interned at Tritan Internet. Built another PC for a friend.

Age 16

First soldering, own ASN

Learned to solder doing an RGH3 mod on an Xbox 360. Registered an ASN with RIPE and announced my own IPv6 space, got into radio and mesh networking, modded a PS3 for a classmate, and gave a friend an old Ubuntu machine so he could learn Linux.

Age 13 – 15

Servers and homebrew

Rented dedicated servers to host games for friends, homebrewed a 3DS, Wii, and Wii U, and joined DN42. Ran Arch Linux on a Chromebook, and introduced a friend to Linux and Docker.

Age 12

First PC build

Built my first computer, then two more for friends. Wrote the scripts for the custom minigames on my Minecraft server.

Age 11

First server

Ran my first Linux Minecraft server. Got in trouble at school for pasting code into the developer console to unblock the chrome://dino game.

Age 8

The computer kid

Known in my grade as the kid to ask for tech help. Got in trouble for using Chrome Remote Desktop during free time.
